Danielle Leguard
Vice President, Fundraising FR
Danielle Leguard is Vice President, Fundraising at United Way East Ontario, where she leads the organization’s fundraising strategy to strengthen communities across Prescott-Russell, Ottawa, Lanark, and Renfrew counties. Working closely with donors, corporate partners, volunteers, and community organizations, she helps mobilize resources to address some of the region’s most pressing challenges, including mental health, social isolation, youth opportunity, housing stability, and community safety.
A seasoned philanthropy leader, Danielle brings more than a decade of senior leadership in fundraising, partnership development, and donor engagement. She oversees a diverse portfolio that includes major gifts, leadership giving, workplace campaigns, planned giving, sponsorships, and community investment partnerships. Her work focuses on building relationships that connect individuals, organizations, and communities to lasting social impact.
Before joining United Way East Ontario, Danielle served as Director of Philanthropy at Food Banks Canada, where she led national fundraising initiatives supporting food security efforts across the country. Prior to that, she spent more than a decade with Canadian Blood Services, advancing into senior leadership roles focused on corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
Danielle is passionate about bringing people together to create meaningful change. Through strong donor stewardship, strategic partnerships, and a focus on team development, she helps connect generosity to measurable outcomes.
Danielle holds a degree from Carleton University. She began her career at United Way Ottawa as a Loaned Representative, where she discovered the power of workplace giving and collective community action. That experience laid the foundation for her career in philanthropy and continues to shape her leadership today.
